✍️ AUTHOR DESCRIPTION

Brigadier Siddique Salik was born in Manglia village, Kharian (Gujrat, Punjab) in 1935. He studied in Lahore at Islamia College, where he earned degrees in English Literature and International Relations.

Before joining the Pakistan Army, he worked as a college lecturer and a journalist. In 1964, he joined the Pakistan Army and later became part of ISPR as a military correspondent.

During the 1971 war, he served as PRO to General A.A.K. Niazi, placing him at the center of the most critical events in East Pakistan. His writing combines military experience with strong storytelling, making his work honest, clear, and historically valuable.
