Dr. Uxi Mufti (also spelled ʻUksī Muftī) is a celebrated Pakistani folklorist, social scientist, cultural expert, and author. Born in 1941 in Kasur, Punjab, he earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Prague. He is the visionary founder of Lok Virsa (the National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage) and its National Heritage Museum in Islamabad.
